The STIP Viewer application displays 3 functional areas upon first entry into the application: (1) Search Pane (2) Map, and (3) Search Results. Each of these are shown in the image below, with corresponding numbers to the list above.
Search Pane
The Search Pane allows users to query for projects by using the available filters. These filters affect the data displayed on the map and in the Search Results. This tool is explained further in the Search Pane article.
Map
The Map displays project data related to the selections made in the Search Pane in a visual and spatial manner. The Map's appearance can be altered by using the six available controls: Zoom In, Zoom Out, Default Map View, Basemaps, Map Layers, and Find. This tool is explained further in the Find Projects article.
Search Results
The Search Results display all projects related to the selections made in the Search Pane in a tabular format. This tool appears at the bottom of the Map frame and is connected to the map, allowing the user to select a row on the table and see it visually on the map and vice versa. This tool is explained further in the Find Projects article.
