The seven map icons that rest on the Map Frame allow the user to zoom to an area/query of interest and change the look of the application. Each of the map icons is shown in the image below and described in the following table.
| Icon | Description |
| Find ( | Enter a street name, route name, city, county, or other relevant address/place in the textbox to locate it on the map. Once entered, the user can click the icon ( The user can also use their current location for this tool. |
| Map Layers ( | Select one or more map layers to display on the Map Frame. The user can make a layer visible by selecting the icon ( The second tab in this pop-up, Legend, displays the currently visible Map Layers and their appearance on the map. |
| Basemaps ( | Select a different basemap for the application from the list. |
| Print ( | Specify the details for a print through the available pop-up and its tabs.

| Default Map View ( | Zoom the map to its original distance and focal point (state boundary). |
| Zoom In ( | Zoom in by clicking this button beside the Legend. |
| Zoom Out ( | Zoom out by clicking this button beside the Legend. |
