The Map and Interactive Controls ribbon is located between the Main Menu and Map Frame.
Function
The Map and Interactive Controls allow the user to interact directly with the Map Frame and obtain data.
Controls
The following controls are offered on this ribbon:

| Map Search | Enter a street name, address, or route number to navigate to a specific location. | |
| Select from Map | Click on the icon and then a location on the map to retrieve a list of routes near the location or a route confirmation. | |
| Radius Search | Find all the projects and/or bridges within a specified radius around a selected point. | |
| Show Legend | Opens the Layer Control, or the Legend, on the Map Frame. | |
| Select Basemap | Opens a list of available basemaps. | |
| Zoom to State | Zooms the map to the State boundary. | |
| Window Area | Changes the mouse control to Zoom to a user defined area. | |
| Zoom to Query Results | Zooms the map to the results of a currently defined query. | |
| Map Display Options | Edit the query and layer display options. | |
| Print Map | Open a Windows print dialog to print the map at its current size and with its plotted results. | |
| Identify | Click on any of the GIS features and retrieve basic information. | |
| Clear | Clear the current search criteria and results displayed on the map. | |
| Redline | Draw a feature on the map and provide comments related to the drawn feature. | |
| Feedback | Open a form for the user to provide feedback, comments, or issues identified while using EGIS Viewer. |
Radius Search
The steps below show how to use the Radius Search feature:
- Click the Radius Search icon (
).
- In the resulting pop-up, select the desired checkboxes, enter a radius and unit of measurement, and click the Select Point on Map icon (
).
- Select Data Types -- Allows the user to select bridges, projects, or both to display in the Radius Search.
- Select Radius Value and Units -- Allows the user to define the radius distance.
- Select Point on Map -- Marks the focal point of the radius, plots the bridges and projects within that radius, and opens the Radius Search list.
- Click on the map to select the focal point for the Radius Search.
- Click the appropriate feature link or the plotted project/bridge to open project and bridge details.
