The Programs interface will provide the ability to create and modify Programs used for project programming in STIP Manager. This tool can be accessed by clicking on the Administration Menu icon on the Utility Bar. Only users with the System Administrator security role, or users assigned a role that includes the Manage Programs permission will have this option available.
When "Programs" is selected in the picklist, its interface will appear on the user's screen.
On the left side, the user can view a table listing each Program in the system. The three radio buttons above the table allow the user to easily filter the table to display All, Active, or Inactive Programs. These columns appear on the table, regardless of the displayed Programs:
| Field | Description |
| This icon will appear beside each row in the table to allow the user to click, drag, and drop the entry into a different position. This alters the Display Order that the system will use to display the Program list. | |
| Program Code | This is an abbreviation for the Program. |
| Program Name | This is a descriptive name for the Program. |
| Active | This showcases whether the Program is Active (checkmark) or Inactive (no checkmark) within STIP Manager. |
To view more information about a Program, the user can click on its row in the table. Then, the Detail window on the righthand side will be filled with its information. This area will include the Program name and a delete icon () in the header, and these fields below:
| Field | Description |
| Program Code | This text field allows the user to enter an abbreviation for the Program which will be used in the Project Program and Funded Program picklists on the Project Detail interface. It must be unique. |
| Active/Inactive | This button allows the user to toggle the status of the program between Active and Inactive. Only Active Programs will be selectable in picklists throughout the application. |
| Program Name | This text field allows users to enter a name for the Program. |
| Program Description | This text field allows users to enter a description for the Program. |
| Program Type | This picklist designates the Program Type which determines how Fund Sources are to be allocated. Program Types can be defined through Code List Maintenance. |
| Allocated by % | This read-only indicator will be generated by the system when the user selects the Program Type. |
| Allocated Fund Source | This multi-select picklist allows the user to associate Fund Sources to a Program. This value will be used to display the Fund Source records related to the Program on the Program Targets interface. When multiple Fund Sources are selected, they will be displayed as tags in the result field. |
Edit Program
To edit the Program, the user can click into the desired field in the Detail window and edit it based on the field type:
- Textbox - type new values
- Picklist - select new values
Once a change is made, the "Save" button will appear to allow the user to save the new values. Alternatively, the user can revert the changes to their original values through the available "Cancel" button.
Add Program
The "Add Program" button above the Programs table allows the user to create a new program. After selecting this button, the Detail window will be cleared, so the user can enter information about the new Program. All fields are editable when creating a Program. Once the user has filled all fields, they can select "Save" to create the Program and place it in the table. New Programs will automatically be added to the bottom of the table, but the user can update the Display Order by using the icon to drag the Program to a different position.
